FML iPhone App

Due October 26th

Two major views, Recent FML and Random FML
Recent FML will show the 15 most recent FMLs
Random FML will show just one FML
Tapping on an FML in either view should take you to comments
- Optional: show votes up and votes down as well
Recent FML view should have a button at the bottom that loads the next page of FML. Random FML should load a new FML when you shake the iPhone
Optional: Add support for showing Top/Worst FML for the day, month, all-time in a 3^rd view

NSXMLParser is your friend.
FML has an awesome developer API. Here's an example of an API call that returns the latest FMLs in XML.
UIViewControllers you should know: UITabBarController, UINavigationController, and especially UITableViewController (also see the View Controller Programming Guide for iPhone OS and the Table View Programming Guide for iPhone OS).
The iPhone Human Interface guidelines are an excellent read, and a good source of interface inspiration.
If you're looking for, say, a "random" icon, there's a great set of icons (including a shuffle icon) at glyphish.com.

Due October 26th

Drag & Drop interface which lets you choose which files to rename by dragging them into your application
Typing text into find and replace fields should auto-update the table
Optional: add support for regular expression-based renaming

NSTableView, its data source methods, and its delegate methods are useful. For an overview, check out the Table View Programming Guide.
For drag and drop, look at validateDrop and acceptDrop on your table view datasource. See the Introduction to Drag and Drop for details about this.
NSFileManager is critical to your success.
